Unique Issues to Epcot Accidents
Epcot Restaurants
Most of the restaurants and shops at Epcot serve and/or sell of alcoholic drinks. This includes beer, wine and more. Epcot has the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival each year. Walt Disney World still is hesitant to sell alcohol.
You may claim that Epcot’s carelessness caused your injury. The claims adjuster may ask you if you drank alcohol before the incident.
In Florida, if the injured person’s normal faculties were impaired or the victim had a blood or breath alcohol level of 0.08 percent or higher intoxicated, and as a result he or she is more than 50% negligent for causing an accident, he or she cannot legally recover damages. Fla. Stat. 768.36.
So if you are drunk and you were the substantial cause of your accident, don’t expect any money. Find out more about Florida restaurant injury claims.

PO Box 10050
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830-0050
Do International Visitors Have a Case if Epcot’s Negligence Caused an Injury?
Yes. Foreigners have similar rights as United States residents. However, there are some differences. Foreigners may have smaller medical bills. Health benefit subrogation rights may be different. You can find out about international tourists who are injured in Florida.
In that article, I write about the rights of tourists from countries like Brazil, Canada, United Kingdom, Venezuela, Argentina, Germany, China and France. I also discuss the subrogation laws of some Canadian Provinces like Quebec, Nova Scotia and Ontario.
Is a Case Against Epcot similar to a case against Walmart, Publix or Walt Disney World?
Yes. An Epcot injury case is very similar to a case against Walt Disney World. Both are subject to Florida law. You will be dealing with similar claims adjusters.
A case against Epcot may be similar against a Florida Walmart and Publix Supermarket. I say this because I assume that all 3 are self-insured.
I assume that Disney is self-insured because it is worth about $172 Billion dollars. I’ve never seen a company that is worth more than $50 billion and doesn’t self-insure land that it owns.
Many attorneys believe that it is harder to get money from a company that is self-insured. They say that it is easier to get money from a good insurance company.
However, each case is judged by the merits.
