Past Disney Cruise Incidents
CBS News reported in April 11, 2014 that a Disney Cruise Line worker was accused of molesting a 13-year-old passenger. They said a Disney Cruise Line employee was arrested.
According to WKMG, a Disney Cruise Line steward was charged with 2 counts of lewd or lascivious molestation and 1 count of false imprisonment.
Canaveral Port Authority police said that they were called by Disney Cruise Lines in reference to a molestation. It happened on the Disney Dream ship while it was in Port Canaveral. Police stated that the victim, a 13-year-old girl, did not know the molester.
He allegedly got her into a vacant cabin. He allegedly touched her inappropriately without her consent, according to the report.
He allegedly did not let the girl leave when she tried to multiple times. He allegedly let her go when she told him her parents would be looking for her and they would learn of it.
He admitted to police that what he did was wrong and he did not know that she was only 13.
The President of Disney Cruise Line condemned the incident. In August 2012, surveillance cameras allegedly captured another employee cornering an 11-year-old girl in a ship elevator. He allegedly fondled and kissed her.
