Buy as much uninsured motorist insurance as you can afford. It pays for your medical bills, lost wages, pain & suffering, etc. you if another vehicle causes your accident and that vehicle is uninsured/underinsured (doesn’t have any or enough bodily injury insurance to pay for your medical bills/lost wages). Florida doesn’t require an owner of a car to have any bodily injury insurance. Every day I speak with injured accident victims who are surprised when they find out that the at fault car was uninsured and they are stuck with medical bills.

I think an attorney that buys a listing in the FindLaw Lawyer Directory and has their listing link to the attorney’s website may cause their site to be negatively impacted in the search results. This is because Google’s guidelines do not allow a website to sell links that pass PageRank. I do not recommend that, if an attorney pays to be listed in Findlaw’s lawyer directory, attorneys include a link to their site in the directory. Google says:

The Florida Bar doesn’t allow Florida attorneys to have any reviews (e.g. stars) associated with any online advertisements. These advertisements include, but are not limited to, sponsored ads appearing on Google, Yahoo, Avvo (etc.), and display ads on Facebook and Youtube (etc.). On Google, Sponsored ads are the ads that appear on the top of the page and to the right of organic listings. This “no reviews on ads” policy also applies to all paid advertising on the internet. Florida attorneys are allowed to have reviews or ratings associated with unpaid listings.

Settlements of at least $300,000 each are awaiting acceptance by the families of the seven people who died during the stage collapse at the Indiana State Fair in August, according to a release by Attorney General Greg Zoeller.
Compensation for one of the deceased estates would total $315,500, but only if the family chooses to accept the offer rather than taking it to court. Families of the deceased can reject the settlement offer, and the money would be redistributed using a formula the state has developed to compensate the victims.
